Psychological counseling for international students

Hanyang University has a psychological counseling center exclusively for international students designed to help international students resolve some of the difficulties they may experience academically or psychologically, including any daily issues.
Students can receive 1-on-1 personal counseling or psychological testing services for various psychological issues and issues with adapting to a new life while studying abroad. As an apparatus of the university to facilitate the growth of each student, the counseling center helps international students resolve and overcome various psychological difficulties. Counseling services are available in English, Chinese, and Korean, so please select the language that is most convenient for you.
All details of the counseling process are kept confidential!

3-Phase Counseling Services

In order to help international students transition seamlessly to life on campus, ERICA provides a “3-Phase Counseling Service” program free of charge to all international students.

Category 1	Screening tests and mental health check-ups are administered to new students to prevent problems before they arise and help students adapt to life away from home.
Category 2	International students can talk about various psycho-emotional problems they are experiencing and seek ways to improve their quality of life.
Category 3	Involves high-level crisis management. Counselors work with on-campus or community resources (e.g. local hospitals) to provide the best services to help with the specific crisis a student is facing
