1. 1) International undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in regular courses who were admitted through the international admission process where both parents are foreign nationals, or overseas Koreans who have completed all elementary, middle, and high school courses overseas (the latter applies to graduate school only)
2. 2) International students who have earned academic grades at Hanyang University from the previous semester in undergraduate or graduate courses, and are registered at the time of application
3. 3) If a student receives multiples scholarships awarded by the university, he/she shall receive the one of largest value
4. 4) Applicants with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for undergraduate and 4.0 for graduate school in the previous semester
5. 5) Students with a valid TOPIK score (English track: IELTS, TOEFL accepted)
6. 6) Recipients of the Science and Engineering Promotion Scholarship (graduate school) cannot apply
7. 7) Graduate students, research students, and students enrolled in extra semesters cannot apply

1. 1) Scholarship recipients are selected through a competitive process that compares and evaluates the academic performance of applicants within the same field
2. 2) The university assigns 80% to GPA and 20% to TOPIK scores when awarding scholarships (specific scores are assigned for each TOPIK level)

Tuition for 1 semester → Payment available on a scale (30% / 50% / 70% / 100%)

Applications are accepted through the HY-in portal in early March and early September every year. Please go to the Office of International Affairs website for specific application windows each semester.

Scholarship funds will be deposited into each recipient’s bank account by the university’s Scholarship Department within June or December (reimbursements).
